Vets of Geelong – Geelong West is growing up, and whilst it is not as big as it’s big sister clinic Vets of Geelong – Highton, it’s starting to get amazing support from our client base, and we are now looking for a Head Vet to help lead the growth of the clinic.

Geelong West has the reputation in Geelong as being the suburb to be, with loads of people moving into the area and looking for a fantastic vet clinic for their pets.
At Geelong West we have a varied workload which includes consults, radiography, surgery and dentistry. You are supported by a very competent nursing and reception team and will be part of a veterinary team that delivers quality veterinary care to local pets.
We have all of the equipment necessary to perform high standards of care including digital dental x-ray, full inhouse IDEXX suite of machines and have recently added a brand new ultrasound, Digital X-ray. Even though our premises are only just over 12mths old, we are about to expand the clinic again!
We are looking for someone who has:
- Leadership potential and a can do personality that is optimistic about life
- excellent communication skills and finds it easy to build relationships with people
- an empathetic nature and yet understands why we need to balance the needs of the Pet, Client, Team and Owners
- time management skills and the ability to prioritise tasks whilst still being flexible to cope with the emergency that comes in the door
We actively encourage you to continue your education through workshops, courses and conferences. As the Head Vet of Geelong West you will have the day to day responsibility for your team with support from the management team at Vets of Geelong.
You will work 4 full days a week and share 1.5 weekends in 5 with the team across our Highton and Geelong West Vet clinics. The role is best suited to a full time position to help lead the team.
