Jump-Start Your Veterinary Career with Vets of Geelong’s Tailored New Graduate Program!
Are you a New Graduate eager to put your skills into practice and grow in a supportive, fun, and dynamic environment? Look no further! Vets of Geelong is searching for an enthusiastic New Graduate Veterinarian to join our team and thrive in our personalized mentorship program.
Why Choose Vets of Geelong?
At Vets of Geelong, we know that no two new graduates are the same, which is why we offer a tailored mentorship program that suits your unique learning style. Whether you prefer structured guidance or a more fluid, hands-on approach, we’ve got you covered. With Dr. Susanne Jacker as your dedicated mentor, you’ll benefit from her 25+ years of experience and the warm, thoughtful approach that has earned her a significant client following.
You’ll be part of a family-owned clinic that runs 7 days a week, allowing you to experience a large, varied caseload that keeps things exciting. From routine consults to complex surgeries, you’ll see cases progress through the clinic and play a hands-on role in patient care. Our clients love the continuity, and you’ll love the in-house expertise you’ll develop!
What You’ll Experience as a New Grad:
During your first year, you’ll dive into all aspects of becoming a well-rounded small animal vet, including:
- Medicine, surgery, and emergency care
- Dentistry, ultrasonography, radiology
- Exotics, birds, and pocket pets
Plus, you’ll rotate through our weekend clinic (no on-call work!) once you’re ready to try emergency cases—with the full support of our experienced vets.
Cutting-Edge Facilities:
Join us at an exciting time in our clinic’s history! Our brand-new, purpose-built Highton clinic (2021), newly refurbished Geelong West clinic (2023), and brand new Lara clinic (2024) are all equipped with all the latest tech, including:
- Idexx Pathology Suite
- Brand-new ultrasound & digital x-ray

This, combined with an experienced nursing and support team, ensures you have everything you need to excel in your new role.
