At Vets of Geelong, we offer consultations by appointment across our three convenient locations — Highton, Geelong West, and Lara.

Our standard 20-minute consultations include a comprehensive health check, whether your pet is here for a routine wellness visit or you’re concerned about a specific issue.

As a family-owned group of clinics, we pride ourselves on providing high-quality, personalised care in well-equipped, comfortable settings — tailored to meet the unique needs of each pet we see.

What to Expect During a 20-Minute Consult:

Full Health Check:

Thorough examination of your pet from nose to tail
Checking vital signs such as temperature, heart rate, and respiratory rate.
Evaluating eyes, ears, teeth, skin, and coat condition.
Palpating the abdomen to check for any abnormalities.
Assessing mobility and joint health.

Wellness or Illness Assessment:

Discussing your pet’s health history, diet, behaviour, and any concerns you may have.
For wellness checks, focusing on preventive care and maintaining optimal health.
For illness assessments, diagnosing the issue and discussing symptoms in detail.

Health Management Plan:

Creating a personalised care plan based on the findings.
Recommendations for vaccinations, parasite prevention, dental care, and nutrition.
If an illness is detected, outlining treatment options and next steps.

Facilities and Services:

In-House Blood Testing: Fast and accurate results to assess your pet’s health status.
X-rays and Ultrasound: Advanced imaging to diagnose internal issues.
ECG and Blood Pressure Monitoring: Essential for evaluating heart health and diagnosing conditions like hypertension.
