Are you ready to take the next step in your veterinary career?
Vets of Geelong is seeking an experienced and confident Veterinarian to join our Lara Clinic—a tight-knit, community-focused team within our family-owned and operated practice group.
This role is ideal for a capable vet with 2+ years’ experience who enjoys a mix of consulting, surgery, and emergency medicine, and who’s ready to step into a more independent and professionally rewarding position.
You’ll be part of our broader Vets of Geelong family, supported by clinics across Highton, Geelong West, and Lara. While collaboration is always encouraged, this position offers the autonomy to manage your clinical days confidently, knowing you have the trust, systems, and backing of a well-established, progressive veterinary group.
About the Role
This position is primarily based at our modern Lara Clinic, where you’ll play a key role in continuing to build and deliver high-quality care to our loyal and growing client base.
You’ll enjoy a blend of hands-on case management and professional freedom, working across all areas of small animal general practice.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Performing consultations and surgery to a high clinical standard.
- Managing cases independently from start to finish with excellent client communication.
- Maintaining accurate records and upholding best practice standards.
- Collaborating with our wider veterinary and nursing team across all Vets of Geelong sites.
About You
You’re a capable and professional veterinarian with a can-do attitude and the ability to work both independently and as part of a supportive team.
You’ll thrive in an environment that values integrity, compassion, and teamwork, and you’re motivated to deliver excellent outcomes for pets and their people.
You’ll bring:
- A minimum of 2 years’ clinical experience in small animal practice.
- Confidence managing consultations, surgeries, and occasional emergency cases.
- Strong communication and client relationship skills.
- A calm, capable manner and professional presence in all clinical situations.
Why Join Us?
- Be part of a family-owned, community-minded veterinary group.
- Autonomy in your clinical work with strong leadership support and peer collaboration.
- A friendly, supportive team that genuinely enjoys what they do.
- Fair remuneration that recognises your skill and contribution, with all our veterinarians enjoying a healthy work-life balance and access to a flexible wage and bonus structure that rewards performance and initiative.
- Ongoing training, development, and career progression opportunities.
- Generous staff discounts on veterinary services and products.
